**SJVN Limited** ही भारतातील एक महत्त्वाची ऊर्जा उत्पादक कंपनी आहे. मुख्यतः ही कंपनी वीज निर्माण करण्याचं काम करते, आणि तेही विशेषतः पाणबुडी वीज (hydropower) प्रकल्पांद्वारे.ही कंपनी सरकारी आहे आणि तिचं प्रमुख कार्यालय हिमाचल प्रदेशातल्या *शिमला * शहरात आहे.


SJVN Limited ची सुरुवात १९८८ साली झाली. तेव्हा या कंपनीचं नाव होतं - **"सतलुज जल विद्युत निगम"** (Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam).सुरुवातीला फक्त एका मोठ्या प्रकल्पासाठी, म्हणजे *नाथपा झाकरी जलविद्युत प्रकल्पासाठी* (जो हिमाचलमध्ये आहे), या कंपनीची स्थापना झाली होती. हळूहळू कंपनीने आपला व्याप वाढवायला सुरुवात केली.


आजच्या घडीला SJVN Limited फक्त पाणबुडी वीजच नाही तर सौर ऊर्जा (Solar Power), पवन ऊर्जा (Wind Power) आणि थर्मल वीज (औष्णिक ऊर्जा) प्रकल्पांमध्येही काम करत आहे.
